Kountry Kartel was established in 2006 by Gimson & Rosco. Both artists were a part of the group Younger Minds Productions but then left to start there own group/label. Kountry Kartel is about originality, being innovative and trying to give the audience what they want to hear without getting tied down to one genre. Kountry Kartel's main influence is life and whatever its artists see happening in the world, whether it be shopping with your girlfriend or going to war. Kountry Kartel has a large element of comedy in what they do and normally give the listener something to chuckle about, but also have a deep side which could leave you deep in thought with goosebumps and your hairs standing on end. In 2007 Gimson & Rosco released a mixtape together under Kountry Kartel entitled 'Tag Team Partners Vol.1' and then a free promo in 2009 which are both available for download at http://www.bathunderground.co.uk and http://www.kountrykartel.com. In between 2007 and 2009 Kountry Kartel was mainly producing for other artists such as J.R.O.A.D, Vixen, El Nino and many others. At the beginning of 2009 Kountry Kartel recruited a new member Offkey Kid, Offkey Kid recorded some great tracks under Kountry Kartel but unfortunately did not have chance to finish his album as he signed to another label. Like wise Rosco left Kountry Kartel at the same time in the middle of 2009 to sign with the same label which came as a blow to Kountry Kartel as 'Tag Team Partners Volume 2' was just about to be released but those finishing touches were never made. Never the less Kountry Kartel recruited a new mc and producer 'Chin' and is working on great material with him and Gimson. All artists on Kountry Kartel write there own material whether it be song writing, music production or even play writing. Kountry Kartel works very closely with other Bath based artists such as J.R.O.A.D, El Nino, Di Wreck and YMP. Kountry Kartel are always keen to work with new people and try new things as they are extremely experimental with the concepts in there tunes.
